From the very first runway show organized by CFDA/7th on Sixth in Bryant Park to the extravaganza of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center I couldn’t image orchestrating this mammoth event without Ty Yorio and the entire Citadel Team. Not a Fashion Week has gone by in my 19 years at the helm, where I wasn’t stopped by someone telling me how much they like and respect our Security team. They have been through the best and worst of situations with us, but I have always felt safe, secure and content that they can handle any situation…from fur protestors and demonstrations to fashion industry impersonators. Dear David, I can’t thank you and Citadel enough for helping me during a very stressful situation. Less than twelve hours after contacting Citadel, and then speaking with you, I had trained, professional, very experienced security service in my home. I still can’t believe how efficiently and seamlessly Citadel’s services materialized.  From the gentleman who answered the phone when I called Citadel at 9:30 on Friday night until Citadel Security was at my door at 8:30 Saturday morning, I was assured that Citadel would step up and manage a potentially problematic domestic situation. Walter was the person sent to help me and he was punctual, professional, understanding and made both me and my daughter feel completely safe during my move from our apartment. The move went without incident – my ex-husband had left the apartment before Walter or the moving company came to start work. Yet, Walter’s years of experience were even more beneficial after the move. He insisted on walking me four blocks to my new apartment. We’d walked only one block and I spotted my ex-husband in his car on the corner right in front of us. We got to the next corner, and my ex was there again, this time intentionally slowing down as he turned the corner so I’d know he was there. It was not a coincidence, he was following me. I’d only worried about having protection in the apartment during the move-out, somehow it didn’t occur to me that I’d be more vulnerable when I was alone, after I left the apartment.  Though it never occurred to me that my ex could make an appearance then,  Walter thought of the possibility and he made sure I was safely inside my new home before he left. David, there are many security agencies in New York City, but Citadel’s reputation was earned by providing clients with the type of prompt, professional safety I experienced. I’m not a diplomat, a celebrity, a media event or a national terror threat. I’m a garden variety, recently divorced, woman who is nervous about her ex-husband’s presence. But you and Citadel took my concern seriously and provided something that was very precious to me on an extremely difficult day. Most Sincerely,

Dear [redacted],  I wanted to thank you for watching over my registration prior to MB Fashion Week.   I stopped in to thank you in person, but you were busy in the trailer. I also wanted to let everyone with MB Fashion Week and IMG  know that as a seasoned attendee since the inception of Fashion Week, I have sincerely appreciated the terrific staff you have .  We are greeted warmly, and receive help whenever needed. Your people are professional, and polished in their approach to attendees.

The Security group, Citadel, is especially attentive, and  it is always reassuring to see them watching over the event.   They handle issues with great finesse, politely, and professionally.   They are excellent at what they do, and enhance the Fashion Week experience greatly. Thank  ALL of YOU for making it another wonderful experience .  I look forward to February, 2012 !

Hello, I wanted to thank and acknowledge the Javits Center Citadel security at New York Comic Con 2011. I found them to be very well organized, courteous, and professional. On the Saturday morning of the New York Comic Con, I arrived early outside the IGN theater, and lined up to get in to the day’s presentations. As the time approached to open the theater, many people were moving about in every direction, trying to figure out where to go, and I saw first hand the security staff do an excellent job of keeping people organized and informed. When security did open the theater, they waved me and the line behind me to enter, and we all got in a very calm and organized manner. These conventions mean a lot to me and I look forward to them all year. I’m very grateful to the security staff for helping to make them so enjoyable and memorable.
